KidGrow is a learning app for children aged 2–6, made by Imautotech ("we", "us", "our"). It is designed for families: a parent or guardian sets the app up, and the child plays and learns. This policy explains exactly what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We built KidGrow to collect as little as possible — no ads, no third-party analytics, and no selling of data, ever.
Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only account in KidGrow belongs to the parent or guardian.
- The child's profile (first name or nickname, age, optional boy/girl, country, language, and a cartoon avatar) is entered by the parent during setup, and is used only to personalise the learning experience (difficulty, language, greeting).
- The app has no ads, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, no social features, no chat, and no free-text input for children.
- Everything a parent can change — including deleting the profile — sits behind a parental gate a young child cannot pass.
- A parent may request deletion of all data at any time (see "Your Choices" below).
Information We Collect
Parent Account
A parent signs in with an email address (one-time code), Google, or Apple. We store the sign-in identifier (your email address and provider user ID) solely to keep your family's profile safe and reachable across devices. Authentication is provided by Supabase.
Child Profile (provided by the parent)
First name or nickname, age (2–6), optional boy/girl, country, preferred language, and a chosen cartoon avatar. This configures session length, difficulty, and the language of instruction. It is linked to the parent account and visible only to that account.
Learning Progress
Which items the child has practised, levels cleared, and what they find tricky is stored locally on the device so the app can adapt. It is not used for advertising or profiling.
Push Notifications
If the parent allows notifications, we store a device push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send occasional service updates. You can turn notifications off in device settings at any time.
Downloadable Content
Games and stories are downloaded from our servers. These requests are ordinary web requests and are not used to build profiles.
We do not collect: precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, advertising identifiers, or browsing history.
Limited Use of Google User Data
If a parent signs in with Google, we request only the basic sign-in scopes (openid, profile, email). KidGrow's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only for signing you in — never for ads, never sold, never used to train AI models. You can revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
How We Use Information
- To let a parent sign in and keep the child's profile safe
- To personalise learning: language, difficulty, session length, and greetings
- To deliver downloadable games and stories
- To send service notifications the parent has opted into
That's the whole list. We never sell or rent data, never show ads, and never share personal information with third parties except the service providers below.
Service Providers
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting for the parent account and child profile (privacy policy)
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — push notification delivery only; we do not use Firebase Analytics (privacy policy)
Your Choices & Data Deletion
- Sign out any time from the Grown-up zone.
- Reset learning progress from the Grown-up zone (per topic or everything).
- Delete your account and all associated data — email us at support@imautotech.in from the sign-in email and we will delete the parent account, child profile, and push tokens within 30 days.
- Notifications — disable in iOS/Android settings whenever you like.
Security & Retention
Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Server data is protected with row-level security so each parent account can only ever see its own family's data. We keep data only while the account exists; deleted accounts are removed from our systems.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. Material changes affecting children's data will be highlighted in the app's Grown-up zone.
